So it's Easter Sunday again and Kieron has a kinder egg Easter egg, Creme Egg Splats, a creme egg and an Easter snow globe form someone I have befriended via Facebook.
A time to plant mini eggs round the garden and to find a couple that escaped discovery later in the year when I'm putting in my bedding plants. A time to remind Kieron not to eat too much chocolate in case he feels sick. A time to allow chocolate for breakfast. A time to tease about Easter bunnies. A family time.
Kieron likes Easter, not just for the chocolate, well ok, mainly for the chocolate, but he's got a kid's book of bible stories so he also knows what Easter is all about. I usually get asked for some cute little chicks or a baby rabbit to add to the cats we already have but Kieron accepts that no amount of nagging will get me to acquiesce.
Jade always gets Kieron an extra egg and I over-chocolate him as he has no other family apart from me, his brother and sister and my aunt, whereas Jade and Callum get extra from their paternal side.
This year, as already mentioned, Kieron got his chocolate, although less than a few years ago. The snow globe? Although it was given with love, I really, really wish he wasn't sent it. This is because I know the lovely lady who gave it to him purely because she lost her little brother, As I have lost my son.
